CompressPro is not just another compression suite – clearly oriented to the e-commerce market, this professional tool will help you create executable rebranded files to allow you an easy and effective distribution of all your products. However, you may also use it as a simple file compressor, allowing you to create ZIP containers with any selection of files and folders present in your drives or in any computer you can access via FTP.

Despite its name, its compression and decompression capabilities leave something to be desired. In fact, one has the impression that this functionality is seen only as an unavoidable step that has to be taken to get you to the main feature of this tool – the rebranding of the zipped file. Actually, if you use CompressPro as a standalone ZIP creator, you will be presented with none of the basic options you would expect in any standard file compression tool. The program will effectively create a ZIP file, but you will not have any control over its size, the compression rate used, security features, etc. Besides, swiftness is not precisely one of its main assets, and the lack of it is noticeable even when compressing small-sized groups of files.

However, everything you missed during the ZIP creation process will suddenly become available at the rebranding stage. Here you can create an EXE file that can be automatically extracted from a customized HTML document. The program will allow you to add text and images to it, a button to help the user to open the file, and to associate it to the URL of your choice. Thus, you will not need to send the self-executable file to a long list of e-mail recipients – just post it on your website and guide your customers to it. Now you can decide on the compression level of the EXE file, on which of the files it contains will open first, on the level of security you wish to apply (password protection), etc. Clearly, this is more of a rebranding tool than a compression tool.
